SYNOPSIS

"Bobby Khan's Ticket To Hollywood" stars Bobby Khan, a Bollywood actor, who comes to Hollywood to find success, but instead learns that making it is a lot harder than it seems.

He eventually lands a role in a new South Asian web series, "Desi OC." Its viral success makes Bobby an instant internet sensation, but he soon realizes that living the Hollywood dream comes at a compromising price.

Now a bankable star, Bobby must decide whether to ditch everyone to be in a big-budget studio movie or stay loyal to the friends that helped get him there.

Atif Mirza

Atif is a graduate of Webster University with a degree in Mass Communications. Upon moving to Hollywood, he has worked on numerous short films as a director / editor. He currently directs and edits for the South Asian TV program "Showbiz India." He also co-founded Raising Desi Productions in 2006. Current projects include the webseries "Desi OC" and the feature film "Bobby Khan’s Ticket to Hollywood."

Tarun is from Laconia, New Hampshire. He attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with an MFA in Film/TV. While in college, Tarun began performing stand-up comedy and studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigrade Theater. He worked his way through New York's comedy circuit and made appearances on CBS, Nickelodeon and several national commericials. Tarun moved to Los Angeles where he hosted/wrote/produced his own comedy segment on the television program, "Showbiz India Extreme." Tarun also wrote and produced for "X-Play" on the G4 Network. He co-founded RaisingDesi Productions in 2006 creating projects, including the viral web series "Desi OC" and numerous comedy shorts.Tarun lives in Hollywood and spends his free time watching anything with Adam Sandler in it, making youtube videos and trying to live in the present. He continues to perform at clubs and colleges across the country.

Sujan E. Bin Wadud

Sujan E. Bin Wadud has been composing music for 20 years. Some of his compositions, including theme music and background score, have been featured on Bangladesh television in short films, variety shows and news.He is the winner of PBS "The Music Instinct: Science and Song" theme musiccompetition in 2009. "Bobby Khan's Ticket to Hollywood" is his first feature film. Sujan was born in Bangladesh; he lives and works in the Silicon Valley.

Yalda is the Production Manager for Raising Desi Productions and has been a key player in the company's projects. She also manages Raisingdesi.com and the company's presence in the social networking realm. Yalda would like to see RaisingDesi Productions reach its potential and go global with its original and quality programming. Deema Mauladad was born and raised in Del Mar, California. She moved to Los Angeles in 2008 where she worked as a featured model, appearing on TV, fashion shows, national print campaigns as well as hosted many celebrity charity fashion events.Deema also studied acting extensively including improv, scene study and on-camera workshops. Her hard work paid off earning her appearances in several music videos, a re-occurring role in RaisingDesi Production’s “Desi OC,” and as the lead in the play “SDAART” at the San Diego Asian American Repertory Theater.When not acting, Deema enjoys zip lining, archery, the beach, movies and has a fetish for cheese :)

Jason

Jason Zumwalt

Jason Zumwalt is an actor, writer and producer. He's from Arizona. He likes long walks on the beach and his turn offs are guys with really hairy chests and people who eat with their mouth open. Turn ons include base jumping, snow boarding and neither of those things. You can find Jason on the internet as part of The Post Show, the terribly unpopular sketch comedy group that made short "comedic" films at the turn of the century. He's a hermit and has not been seen in person since December 12, 2010.

Kunal

Kunal Shetty

Kunal is an actor from New Hampshire. Kunal's interest in acting started early, in elementary school, when he landed the lead role in a stage play based on the Kenneth Grahame children's story, "The Reluctant Dragon". That interest carried over to his later years in high school and in college where Kunal worked both behind the scenes and on stage for numerous theatrical productions. It wasn't, however, until Kunal moved to Los Angeles in 2007 that his passion for performance really took off.
